Protective vitamin

Ester-C is fantastic! After reading about vitamin C's benefits, I started taking it, and it has indeed helped bolster my immunity. When my husband caught a cold, I had him take it right away at the first signs. Initially, he felt mild indisposition, then slight weakness. By the third day, he was healthy with no fever, runny nose, or sore throat. My preventive routine with vitamin C clearly worked!

Sore throat relief
2 people found this helpful
At once my throat ceased to hurt; this autumn, I often had a sore throat, but after taking these vitamins, it stopped. I take three capsules daily for my adrenal glands. Ester-C is well-absorbed and gentle on the stomach, unlike ascorbic acid, which can irritate. Although Solgar is pricey, it’s much cheaper on iHerb than in my local pharmacy.

The best Vitamin Ester-C I’ve ever tried! I’ve taken it for years due to its quality and price; it’s highly effective. The size is just right, especially at 1000 mg, the recommended daily amount. It doesn’t cause heartburn, which is crucial because I have stomach issues. The effects are immediate. I rarely catch a cold, and when I notice a slight sore throat, I take one and feel better by the next day.

Flu aid

I’ve been using this for years. At the first sign of a sore throat, I take it right away, and it helps immediately. If I already have the flu, I increase the dosage, and it doesn’t upset my stomach.
A sore throat, also known as pharyngitis, is a common condition characterized by pain, scratchiness, or irritation of the throat. It can occur as a result of various factors, including viral infections like the common cold or flu, bacterial infections such as strep throat, allergies, dry air, or even irritants like smoke and pollution. Symptoms often manifest as a sensation of discomfort during swallowing and may be accompanied by swelling, redness, or the presence of white patches on the tonsils or throat lining.
Most sore throats are mild and resolve on their own within a week or so, often treated with home remedies such as warm salt water gargles, lozenges, and hydration. However, if the sore throat is severe, persistent, or associated with other concerning symptoms such as high fever, difficulty swallowing, or difficulty breathing, it's essential to consult a healthcare professional, as this may indicate a more serious condition that requires medical intervention. Proper diagnosis and treatment are crucial, especially if a bacterial infection is suspected, as it may necessitate antibiotics for effective treatment.
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a critical role in numerous bodily functions. As an essential nutrient, it contributes to the growth and repair of tissues in the body, and it is vital for the production of collagen, an important protein that helps maintain skin, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels. Additionally, Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, which means it helps combat free radicals—unstable molecules that can cause oxidative stress and contribute to various chronic diseases.
Moreover, Vitamin C enhances iron absorption from plant-based foods, making it a vital component for those following vegetarian or vegan diets. While many people get sufficient Vitamin C from a well-balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables like oranges, strawberries, kiwi, broccoli, and bell peppers, some individuals might require supplementation. It's generally recommended to stay within the daily intake guidelines, as excessive consumption can lead to gastrointestinal disturbances. Overall, Vitamin C is not just a skincare celebrity—it's a fundamental part of maintaining overall health and well-being.
Vitamin C is often touted for its immune-boosting properties, but its effectiveness in treating a sore throat specifically is somewhat mixed. While Vitamin C plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health and can help support the immune system, there is limited evidence to suggest that it directly alleviates sore throat symptoms. Some studies indicate that adequate Vitamin C intake might help reduce the duration and severity of colds, but it doesn't necessarily target throat discomfort.
For those experiencing a sore throat, focusing on other remedies may provide more immediate relief. Warm salt water gargles, throat lozenges, and staying hydrated are often recommended. If you choose to incorporate Vitamin C into your routine—perhaps through citrus fruits, supplements, or fortified foods—you might experience some benefits for your immune system over time. However, it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional for advice tailored to your individual needs.

Ester C Plus is an excellent product. Vitamin C helps oxygenate the blood, combating many illnesses. During my sore throat, I took a pill every three hours along with plenty of water, and the next day I had no symptoms. Now, I take three daily as a preventative measure on my nutritionist's advice.
